Deven Pandey is known as 'Deven' in among cartoonist. Pandey, who has won first place in more than a dozen national and international painting and poster competitions, studied painting at Tribhuvan University. He has won many accolades by exhibiting three-dimensional card designs. He has also been awarded with the Best Illustrator Award-2062 from the Nepalese Society for Children's Literature and the Hemganga Yuva Kala Pratibha Award 2066 (for Graphic Designing) established in the memory of artist Araniko. Currently, he is a senior cartoonist in Nagarik and Republic Daily and Associate Professor (Graphic Communication) in Srijana College of Fine Art.
